The Requirement Vertex were approached in June by one of the world’s leading electronics manufacturers to source a team of 4 System Reliability Engineers including a Manager to manage and develop a new cloud platform in Europe. With the Directors and Managers due to be in Cologne for Gamescon in August, we needed to identify, attract, qualify and start interviews within the first month to achieve this deadline. We needed to hit this deadline to have the team started and skilled up in the US before the launch in January 2014.
We started with a map of similar companies, using mapping techniques sourcing companies associated with our client, targeting those who have existing cloud platforms similar to what our client are looking to achieve. We utilised our international networks to close in on targets, started direct headhunting and using social media to highlight, approach and attract over 20 suitable candidates.
The Result We ran our tailored selection process and confirmed 7 people for interview at Gamescon to meet with the senior management team. Vertex subsequently gained contracts for all 4 of the positions and have helped the company secure their foothold in Europe!
